Indoor Air Quality Service

in West Central Alberta

Improving the quality of the air you breathe in your home must be viewed as an investment in your family’s well-being. There are many high quality filtration systems in homes that are compromised by inadequate filters or disconnected because they were found to be expensive to run. If you purchase an air quality component for your home's heating and cooling system, research the maintenance costs before paying the installation price.

Why would you want to install an air quality filter on your system?

  • Because the air in your home is 5X dirtier than outdoor air.

  • Because everyone has a limited physical tolerance for airborne chemicals and particulates.

  • Because an air quality system will greatly reduce the contaminants ingested into your body.

Indoor Air Quality Facts

The contaminants in your home consist of bacteria and viruses, dust mites, animal dander if you have pets, volatile organic compounds which are gases released from household materials and liquids, and bio burden which is biological material in the air, living or dead. Airborne particulates are measured in microns which are 1/25000 of an inch in size.

Most furnaces have a filter attached on the return air inlet. Most are sufficient to protect the furnace and air conditioning evaporator coil from dirt. But you can install cartridge filters that have the capacity to improve the breathing quality of the air in the house. These filters are rated by how few particles are able to pass through them. The rating system is called the Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value or MERV.
